Hello!
Welcome to Kay Emm—where legacy meets leadership.

My name is Daniella Powell and this is Kay Emm.
I’m a mother, a military veteran, and a former corporate leader turned entrepreneur. I’ve navigated rooms where I had to prove myself twice as hard to be taken seriously—and I’ve never let that stop me.

This isn’t just my business. It’s the blueprint I’m building for those who come after me.
Welcome to Kay Emm. Let’s build something bold, together.
My story:
The Story Behind the Name “Kay Emm”
A legacy written by a mother, a builder, and her bold belief in what’s possible.
When I set out to name my company, I didn’t just want a title that looked good on paper—I wanted a name that carried meaning, heart, and purpose. It had to reflect my story, honor my family, and speak to the legacy I’m building—not just for myself, but for those who come after me.
That name is Kay Emm—inspired by my children, Kaiden and Emma, who represent everything I’m fighting for. A clever blend of their initials, yes—but more than that, it’s a symbol of legacy in motion. A declaration that we are building something with roots and reach. A name that speaks volumes, even before you know the story behind it.
My grandfather came to this country in search of a better life, just like my husband’s family did. Two different journeys, one shared vision: a future filled with opportunity, stability, and hope. He showed me through his actions that hard work wasn’t just about survival—it was about building something greater. I lead by his example, and the life I’m building is proof that I am my ancestors’ wildest dream.
I joined the military and rose from E1 to E6 in five years. I paid my way through college. I broke into the corporate world and earned a promotion to Senior Director within three years—a climb that’s anything but common. Every level I reached came with challenges, but I met them head-on.
And let’s be honest—not everyone wanted to see me rise. I’ve had people who preferred to keep me in assistant roles, who couldn’t picture me as their peer, let alone their equal. I’ve walked into rooms where I had to prove myself twice as hard to be taken seriously. But that never stopped me.
Because Kay Emm was never about proving them wrong. It was about proving myself right.
I’m a Latina, a mother, a military veteran, and now a business owner—the first in my family to do any of it. I started this company to create a life where stability, ownership, and freedom are the standard—not the exception.
Homeownership. Business ownership. Debt freedom. Confidence. Options. These are the pillars of the legacy I’m building for Kaiden and Emma. I don’t want them to ever worry about the lights getting turned off, the car breaking down, or food on the table. I want them to grow up knowing they have leverage, because their parents built it with their own hands.
And when people ask, “What does Kay Emm even mean? And who spells Emm like that?”—I smile. It’s bold. It’s different. It starts conversations. Just like us. Its meaning is personal, powerful, and permanent.
To every mother watching this journey:
You are capable. You are worthy. You are not behind.
If I can build this from the ground up—you can, too.
And to Kaiden and Emma—
You were always our reason.
Our name, Kay Emm, stands for everything we’ve fought for and everything you’ll carry forward.
This is our legacy—and it’s just getting started.
